Why do we need Dental Physio dispenser / Dental Implant Motor for Osteotomy?
- Beacause with the help of Dental Physio Dispenser / Dental Implant Motor we can drill at low speed more precisely. Dental implant motor can be run on low speed also and we have adjustable torque with water flow.
Types of low speed handpieces:
- 10:1
- 20:1
- 27:1
- 32:1
- 64:1
High speed handpiece for Physiodispenser is 1:1,
This Dental Physio Dispenser’s / Dental Implant Motor’s Head can be connected with all the E type coupler handpieces, you can use this i-Medica’s Dental Physio Dispenser / Dental Implant Motor with low speed Implant handpieces as well as with 1:1 handpiece. You can use 1:1 handpiece with adjustable saline flow for other surgical procedures.
Generally for implant placements or root firm implant placements we use 20:1 implant handpiece, but suppose you want to drill on a cortical plate or the bone is too hard to get in we reduce it to 1:1 handpiece. Continous irrigation is very important during Osteotomy / Drilling because saline liquid acts as a coolent and it creates less heat in that area, if we will not use saline too much heat will be generated on that area and the bones becomes necrosed.
Variable speeds of Implant motor to make a hole (Osteotomy) in Mandible/Maxilla for 20:1 Handpiece:
For Maxillary Porteriors: 500RPM – 800RPM
For Maxillary Anteriors: 700RPM – 1100RPM
For Mandibular Posteriors: 800RPM-1200RPM
For Mandibular Anteriors: 1000RPM – 1200RPM
For D1 Bone – 1200RPM
Types Of Bone Density:
– Class I: Ideal Bone – Evenly Spaced trabeculae + Small cancellated space
– Class II: Satisfactory – Slightly Cancellated
– Class III: Loose fitting Implants – Large marrow spaces.
Or
Dense Cortical – D1 Bone (Anterior Mandible)
Porous Cortical + Corse Trabeculae – D2 Bone (Posterior Mandible)
